Kent Children's University™ Diploma Celebration 2007

Children who have attended at least 5 Kent Children's University™ modules over the past two years attended the annual KCU Diploma evening kindly hosted by Maidstone Girl's Grammar School. The ceremony took place in July and was attended by participants from across the county.

Each child, accompanied by their parents, took part in a number of mini-workshops before being presented with their hard-earned Diploma by BBC Radio Kent DJ, Julie Maddocks. They also received a goody bag from the afternoon-show DJ.

After the presentation the invited guests were able to enjoy a splendid buffet provided by "Chunky's".

Guy Bartlett, Manager of KCU, said, "These children have all worked very hard over the last two years. Their dedication to the scheme, and learning in general, is something to be admired. Everyone here is very proud of your achievements and we hope to see you return as KCU Ambassadors."

Kent Children's University™ aims to foster a love of learning, raise self-confidence and improve aspiration through a variety of out-of-school-hours workshops which are taught in a structured but informal manner.
