Gymnastics Lessons
Our gymnastics lessons are accredited through the British Gymnastics Leisure Centre scheme. The aim is to teach children core gymnastics skills such as balance, strength, flexibility and coordination. With 8 levels of attainment progressing from level 8 to level 1, gymnasts must demonstrate satisfactory attainment of 7 of the possible 10 activities within each level. We also run classes for Intermediate and Advanced Gymastics. Once a child has achieved the required standard and wishes to progress to club level we will signpost them to the relevant local club.

Our swimming lessons are delivered using the national ASA Swimming Teaching Framework (stages 1-10 in swimming). The aim is to teach children how to swim and then develop core aquatic skills such as entry, buoyancy and balance, rotation and orientation, aquatic breathing, travel and coordination, steamlining and exit. Once the child has achieved stage 10 they will be directed into the local swimming club. If they reach level in swimming and want to try other activities such as diving and synchronised swimming, lifesaving or water polo we will signpost them to the relevant organisation.
