Summer Reading Challenge 2015 : Record Breakers
The Summer Reading Challenge 2015 starts in libraries on July 11. The theme for 2015 is Record Breakers, created in partnership with Guinness World Records ™, and the challenge to children is to read six library books of their choice during the summer holidays. Children join at their local library, and collect stickers at each stage of the challenge, at the same time finding out about some of the astonishing real-life achievements and world records featured in the Guinness World Records Books. Children’s University participants can also take their passport to their local library and have it stamped for one hour of Children’s University learning per book – so up to 6 hours of Children’s University learning if they read all 6 books. In addition, they can earn up to a further 4 hours if they complete extension activities or any specially organised local activities.
