Activities with Ellis Brigham Climbing Wall and Skyride
An introduction to adventurous activities which promotes confidence at height, physical, mental attitude and trust. Good listening skills are required at all times; children are informed of safety rules at the beginning. Balance and hand and eye coordination are enhanced as children progress up the wall and across the Skyride. Children are excited and share their experiences with each other in a friendly and fun atmosphere. They are required to think about their balance and movement and listen to the guidance of the instructor. Participants have to think about how to solve the problem of how to move onto the next stage of the climb. Sessions run at all times where groups are taken for 25 minute sessions on either the climbing wall or the skyride. You must arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your session. This allows time to get checked in and ready to start on time. At the kids club they learn knots and basic rope techniques which they can use for life.Children learn at their own speed with the guidance of the instructor. They learn new skills to enable them to become competent climbers with confidence. Children take away the skills and knowledge to enjoy future climbing experiences. They engage in potentially dangerous activities in a safe and supervised environment. Also, take away that this healthy choice is also fun! Children must be at least 1.1m in height at 6 years of age and average build.
