British Science Week 2017 - Extracting DNA (UCLan)
This workshop is designed for students between the ages of 8 and 14 years old. Students will extract their own DNA and walk away with a small piece of it in a necklace for them to wear. Students will also get a chance to see where their DNA has come from by staining their cheek cells and view them under the microscope. FREE Event - Booking is required. Science Hunters uses the popular game Minecraft to engage children of all ages with Science. British Science Week 2018 - Science of Superheroes
Wednesday 14th March 2018, 4pm – 5pm Heysham High School To celebrate ‘British Science Week 2018’ we are inviting our CU students to attend our Science of Superheroes interactive event. Delivered by Professor Matt Dickinson, come and learn all about the science behind the science-fiction of many well-known characters such as Spiderman, Wolverine and Iron Man.
