Pick up church trails and maps online or in the city to follow four trails around the city's remaining 31 Medieval churches. Over the first May bank holiday weekend 28/29 April and 1 May check your answers at St Stephens Church. Once you've checked your answers make a pilgrim badge as your reward and join in other activities including writing with quills and making stained glass windows. Our aim is to raise awareness of the number of medieval churches in Norwich (more than any other city in Northern Europe). To help children to learn about the importance of Norwich in Medieval times (second city in England). To learn something about life in Norwich in Medieval times, how people lived, what governed their days, how children played, learned and worked.
