Cathedral Explorers Backpack Activity
Collect your Explorer Backpack containing an information sheet and various items to guide your exploration around the Cathedral. See if you can spot things ranging from a buried queen to a kangaroo! When you have completed your sheet don’t forget to get your passport stamped. Aimed at ages 5 - 7. £5 returnable deposit for the backpack.

COSMOS ROADSHOW
The COSMOS team join us for some interactive space-related activities, while experts from the National Space Centre in Leicester share their enthusiasm and knowledge in a family-friendly way.Come along to this interactive, hands-on, science exhibition for children (and families) Monday 22nd October: 12.00 noon to 4.00pm Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th October: 10.00am to 4.00pm In the Cathedral Discover amazing hands-on science that is out of this world this half term. The COSMOS Roadshow team invites you to step out of this world into a space adventure, exploring our solar system, stars, and the extraordinary machines we travel in and send out to discover new frontiers. Kindly sponsored by Cambridge Assessment and BGL Group. Entry: Free (no need to book), but donations are welcome to cover costs. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

'LIFE IN SPACE' TALKS Thursday 25th October
In the Knights' Chamber at the Cathedral Visitor Centre An exciting, informative workshop from the National Space Centre where all aspects of life in space will be explored – from what it’s like to be an Astronaut living and working on the International Space Station to the dangers of carrying out a spacewalk. Each talk will last approximately 45 minutes and will run at the following 10.00am 11.00am 1.00pm 2.00pm £5 per person. Monks Mischief and Marauders Cathedral Trail

STARDOME Friday 26th October
In the cathedral Step inside the StarDome for an immersive experience of our amazing solar system. Inside this four metre high inflatable planetarium, you will be able to take a tour of the night sky – visiting planets and exploring the solar system – and explore star mythology from around the world, including stories from Ancient Greek, Egyptian, Native American and Hindu stargazers. Each show will last approximately 25 minutes and is suitable for all ages. The audience stands during the show, although some chairs will also be available. The dome is accessible to wheelchair users. The StarDome sessions will take place at these times: 10.00am 10.30am 11.00am 11.50am 12.20pm 1.45pm 2.15pm 2.45pm £5 per person.
