Dozens of pupils have graduated from York Children's University. The 66 children from Carr Juniors, Scarcroft, Westfield, Yearsley Grove and York High School have completed at least 30 hours of extracurricular and out-of-school learning at venues including museums, libraries, music and sports clubs and outdoor activities.
Youngsters graduated from the Children's University after doing hundreds of special activities. The special ceremony, hosted by Essex University, saw a total of 114 children from across Colchester and Tendring receive awards.
The Isle of Man Children's University's first graduation ceremony saw students receive their awards wearing gowns and mortar boards sponsored by Scottish Widows, part of the Lloyds Banking Group.
The first youngsters to graduate from the Children's University received their awards at a ceremony in St German's Cathedral, Peel. Wearing gowns and mortar boards, 47 children aged five to 14 were the first graduates under the scheme, launched in the island in March 2012.
Children from Manor Primary School will be the first recipients at Wolverhampton Children's University graduation being held on Thursday 12th July at University of Wolverhampton.
Middlesbrough youngsters had a banging time when they learnt new skills during the Easter holidays. Children from Ayresome Primary School and from the Children's University in Middlesbrough took part in a three-day event where they learnt street dance, martial arts and junk drumming.
A UNIQUE graduation ceremony takes place at St German's Cathedral in Peel this month. All those wearing gowns and mortar boards and proudly celebrating their achievements will be aged five to 14. The children are the first graduates of the Children's University, launched in the Isle of Man a year ago.

A group of 15 children from Wembrook Primary School in Nuneaton have been spending Saturday mornings undertaking musical masterclasses, called Musical Maestro, at the University of Warwick. Musical Maestro has been created for the Children's University scheme, which encourages children from all backgrounds to participate in extra-curricular activities.
