Become a Children's University

Who runs Children's Universities?

Children’s University is a national movement that is co-ordinated across the country by partner organisations. These partners include Local Authorities, Universities and FE Institutions, local charities and other social enterprises. Our local Children’s Universities work with schools, children and other learning partners in their areas to help us reach over 110,000 children each year. Children's University Trust is the charity at the heart of the Children’s University network – we help establish and support our local partners with the tools and support needed.

Why set up a Children’s University?

Our partners choose to use Children’s University as a way to strengthen and support their local communities and improve the outcomes for children in their area.

Where to start

The development of each new local Children’s University is unique to the community in which it operates. If you are interested in exploring further the potential to become a local Children’s University partner, please get in touch with Sonya Christensen. If you are simply a school that wishes to sign up its pupils, read more about signing up here. If you run activities for children in your area or across the country, read more here about getting involved
